What is Masters Swimming?

Masters swimming is about fitness, friendship, and fun. It is not targeted at elite athletes - its emphasis is on camaraderie amongst swimmers and is inclusive for all skill levels and ages 18+, from beginners to seasoned swimmers.

Masters swimming can be a fun way to get involved in your local swimming community and is a great way to meet fellow swimmers.

Masters swim clubs include members from their 20s to their 70s and 80s. Joining a Masters swim club means you can attend coached workouts at regular times each week. These sessions support various fitness goals in a friendly atmosphere, offering guidance and encouragement to help you achieve your personal objectives.

Masters swimming also provides numerous competition opportunities at the local, national and international levels. There is absolutely no requirement to race, but if you want to race, joining a Masters swim club will ensure you’ll have a team to race with at meets, and you will get to swim in relays which are always fun!
